Inspired by a kaleidoscope of musical influences, his latest CD has drawn inspiration from the ruins of Mexico, the subways of Buenos Aires, the infectious rhythms and voices of Latin America, the trance of the European club scenes, but always filtered through his musical formation in jazz. The Cd features all original songs with performances by Daniel Binelli on bandoneon, Pepe Danza on percussion, Raphael Geronimo on percussion, Tania Hancheroff on vocals, Miles Hill on acoustic bass, Daryl Jahnke on guitar, Marc Rogers on electric bass, Rebecca Shoichet on vocals, Randall Stoll on drums, and Brad Turner on fender rhodes.

An addition to his list of credits is a Jazz CD released last year titled Vince Mai "FOR ALL WE KNOW". This CD, his first solo recording, is a dedication to the idiom of a type of jazz that represents his primary influences. "FOR ALL WE KNOW" is "cool" revisited. It's a collection of sparkling jazz classics performed by some of Canada's finest jazz musicians - Miles Black on piano, Miles Hill on bass, and Dave Robbins on drums. Tania Hancheroff delivers soulful vocal renditions of these cherished jazz standards, taking us to the sensual, the smooth, and the introspective with her caressing voice.
